The small, light weight Samsung CLP-300 color laser printer, CLX-2160 and CLX-3160 color MFPs features toner "canisters" that are fixed securely in place, resulting in reduced printer noise.

The Samsung CLP-300 features a 150-sheet cassette tray, a 100-sheet output capacity, and a 24,200 monthly duty cycle, all in a space-saving, easily movable printer that weighs just 30 pounds. As of its release it was the smallest and lightest color laser printer in its class.

Xerox has its own version based on the same print engine - the Phaser 6110.

Part of the technology that drives these printers is a "mini-toner" system with four small pop-in toner bottles (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) that enables the small, easy-to-store toner canisters to be replaced individually on an as-needed basis.

Both the CLP-300 and Phaser 6110 models require chips on the remanufactured cartridges for correct printing.
